Oak Hills' offense caught fire in the second half

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. – The Bulldogs' explosive offense proved to be too much for Apple Valley on Friday as they won 41-27 to clinch back-to-back Mojave River League titles.

Diego Lopez threw for 4 touchdowns and over 250 yards to help power Oak Hills to victory. Shane Young caught 3 touchdown passes, two coming from past midfield, all in the second half. Shea Gabriel had a touchdown catch from over 60 yards out in the first quarter that included an epic stiff-arm. Karson Cox ran for a 22-yard touchdown in the second quarter, and iced the game with a long touchdown run with just over two minutes left. Jeffery Johnson III and Christian Macias recorded interceptions for the Bulldogs.

Apple Valley was led by Dustin Reynolds, who ran for 2 touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass from QB Noah Celie. Kyler Peters went 2/2 on field goals for the Sun Devils, connecting from 38 and 44 yards.
