Watch: La Jolla Country Day's Breya Cunningham discusses CIF title victory against Del Norte

Cunningham finished with 19 points and eight rebounds while capturing her third San Diego Section Open Division title.

SAN DIEGO -- La Jolla Country Day left no doubt on Saturday afternoon, cruising past Del Norte to capture their second consecutive San Diego Section Open Division title and third in the past four seasons.

The Torreys led 29-8 after one quarter and stretched their lead to 40 points when senior point guard Jada Williams knocked down a halfcourt shot as the second quarter expired to make the score 54-14.

While the starters sat for most of the second half, La Jolla Country Day's reserves kept the scoring going, outscoring Del Norte 16-0 in the final quarter.

Williams and Cunningham each tied for the La Jolla Country Day lead with 19 points.

Del Norte senior Bailey Barnhard equaled Williams and Cunningham, scoring 19 of the Knighthawks' 27 points.
