Master P's son Mercy Miller scores 68 points, sets Notre Dame (California) school record
Mercy Miller put on a show Monday night.
The four-star 2024 recruit from Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, California) scored 68 points in a 104-44 victory over Oakwood, setting a school record for the most points scored in a single game.
Miller, the son of rapper Master P, was 28 of 38 from the field.
A 6-foot-4 guard, Miller averaged 17.1 points and 8.8 rebounds last season to help lead Notre Dame to the CIF State Division I championship. Miller signed with Houston last month.
Notre Dame is ranked No. 8 in the latest SBLive Southern Section Top 25 boys basketball rankings.
According to the Cal-Hi Sports record book, it's the most point scored in a game by a Southern Section player since San Bernardino's Trayvon Davis scored 75 in a 95-22 win over Vista del Lago of Moreno Valley in January of 2019.
The state record is 100 points set by Tigran Grigoryan of Mesrobian-Pico Rivera in 2003, a 114-47 win over Pacific Christian-Los Angeles. The 68 points is tied for 23rd in California history.
Other recent memorable games include the 92-point explosion by LaMelo Ball for Chino Hills in 2017 during a 146-123 win over Los Osos, and a 77-point game by then freshman Mikey Williams of San Ysidro in a 116-52 victory over Kearny in 2019.
