Congratulations to Vista High School wide receiver Brent Lawson for being voted Scorebook Live's Southern California football player of the week!

Lawson, a senior wide receiver, had eight receptions for 175 yards and three touchdowns in Vista’s 46-42 win over Poway on Oct. 4.

Lawson received 48% of the vote, beating out Chaminade QB Jaylen Henderson who finished with 26%.

Q’Marr Allen, Los Angeles RB/LB: Allen rushed 24 times for 230 yards and three touchdowns in LA High’s 55-24 win over Maywood CES. Allen also had seven tackles and three QB hurries on defense.

Dylan Wheatley, Citrus Valley QB: Wheatley was 14-of-17 for 319 yards and six touchdown passes in Citrus Valley’s 56-7 win over Yucaipa.

Jordan Williams, Etiwanda WR/DB: Williams had five catches for 131 yards, two carries for 51 yards and an interception on the game’s final play to seal Etiwanda’s 33-29 win over Los Osos.

Jack Brown, Narbonne RB: Brown rushed for four touchdowns in the Gauchos’ 53-0 win over San Pedro.

Mo Jackson, San Diego RB: Jackson carried the ball 27 times for 245 yards in the Cavers 50-41 win over Patrick Henry. The junior has now gone over 2,300 career rushing yards in only 28 games.

Nick Floyd, Corona Centennial RB: Floyd had seven carries for 170 yards and four touchdowns as the Huskies made quick work of Santiago in a 63-0 win.

Sammy Green, JSerra RB: Green rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns in JSerra’s 35-3 win over Santa Margarita.

Aiden Lippert, La Costa Canyon RB: In his first game of the season, Lippert ran for three touchdowns, caught one touchdown, and went over 300 all-purpose yards in the Mavericks win over San Marcos.

Mikey Zele, Grace Brethren QB: Zele was 10-of-15 for 239 yards and three TDs as Grace Brethren opened Camino League play with a 42-13 victory over Bishop Diego.

Byron Cardwell, St. Augustine RB: Cardwell scored five touchdowns to lead the Saints to a 56-0 win over Morse.

Damien Moore, Bishop Amat RB: Moore rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown as well as the game-winning two-point conversion to give Amat a 25-24 victory over Alemany.

Jaylen Henderson, Chaminade QB: Henderson passed for 119 yards and ran for two touchdowns in Chaminade’s 35-14 win over Notre Dame.

Justin Flowe, Upland LB: Flowe forced two fumbles and had three sacks to lead Upland to a 21-3 victory over Damien in their Baseline League opener.

Luke Durkin, Scripps Ranch QB: Durkin was 16-of-30 for 269 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Falcons 34-13 win over Kearny. Durkin completed passes to 8 different receivers to help Scripps Ranch move to 6-0.

Jordan Allen, Cathedral Catholic LB: Allen racked up 6 tackles, 2 sacks, a forced fumble, and returned a fumble for a touchdown in the Dons’ 50-14 win over Point Loma.

Noah Vella, Carlsbad WR: Vella rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown and added 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns in Carlsbad’s 42-7 win over Torrey Pines.
