Here are SBLive’s Top 20 Arizona high school football rankings for the week of Oct. 19.

Our statewide football rankings, which span all conferences, are released every Monday throughout the 2020 high school football season. The rankings are compiled by SBLive reporter Connor Morrissette.

SBLIVE POWER RANKINGS: ARIZONA TOP 20

Oct. 19, 2020

1. Chandler (3-0)

Chandler beat Perry 55-0. Running back Eli Sanders rushed for three scores. The Wolves have outscored their first three opponents 163-10.

2. Hamilton (2-0)

Last week's ranking: No. 2

Hamilton has one of the top offenses in the country, led by 2022 quarterback Nicco Marchiol, and it was on full display in a 64-22 demolition of Perry two weeks ago. Marchiol threw for five touchdowns and rushed for two in the win.

3. Saguaro (2-0)

Last week's ranking: No. 3

Saguaro beat Maricopa 70-14. Six Sabercats scored touchdowns in the win, led by Mason Davies, who caught two touchdown passes.

4. Highland (3-0)

Last week's ranking: No. 6

Highland beat Sandra Day O’Connor 47-14. Max Davis rushed for 302 yards.

5. Casteel (3-0)

Last week's ranking: No. 7

Casteel is in its first season in 6A, and it looks like the Colts have been there for years. Casteel beat No. 9 Queen Creek 12-7 on Friday. In a defensive slugfest, Casteel’s Dane Christensen found Dominic Digian for the winning touchdown in the third quarter.

6. Centennial (2-1)

Last week's ranking: No. 5

Centennial beat No. 14 Williams Field 14-8. Joshua Gasca completed 16 of 21 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown in the win.

7. Higley (2-1)

Last week's ranking: 10

Higley beat No. 20 Desert Ridge 42-21. Kai Millner had three first-half touchdown passes.

8. Chaparral (0-0)

Last week's ranking: No. 9

Chaparral hasn’t played a game yet because of COVID-19, but when the Firebirds begin the season, they should be a consistent top-10 team throughout the fall. They’re led by 2022 defensive tackle Anthony Lucas, a top 100 national recruit in his class.

9. Queen Creek (2-1)

Last week's ranking: No. 4

Queen Creek’s high-powered offense managed one score in the Bulldogs' 12-7 loss to No. 5 Casteel.

10. Sunrise Mountain (3-0)

Last week's ranking: No. 18

Sunrise Mountain running back Tommy Arnold provided the winning touchdown in the Mustangs' 37-33 win over No. 13 Liberty.

11. Corona del Sol (3-0)

Last week's ranking: No. 12

Anyale Velazquez rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns in the Aztecs' 35-0 win over Skyline.

12. Desert Edge (3-0)

Last week's ranking: No. 13

In a defensive battle, Desert Edge beat Cactus 12-0 on Saturday.

13. Liberty (1-2)

Last week's ranking: No. 8

Liberty lost to No. 10 Sunrise Mountain 37-33. The Lions led 17-10 at halftime but could not hold on.

14. Williams Field (1-2)

Last week's ranking: No. 14

Williams Field lost to No. 6 Centennial 14-8. The Black Hawks had a chance to tie the score at the end of regulation but came up short. Starting quarterback CJ Tiller was injured and left the game on the Black Hawks’ final possession, 

Williams Field can't get it downfield on its final poss. After getting a safety, its starting QB C.J. Tiller got sacked and injured on 1st & 10 at its own 35. Then backup QB Davin Switzer replaces him and gets sacked again, clock runs out. Final score 14-8, Centennial. #AZReplay

15. Boulder Creek (2-1)

Last week's ranking: No. 15

Boulder Creek beat Brophy Prep 28-27. Brophy Prep had a successful Hail Mary pass at the end of regulation and then tried to go for two to get the win, but the two-point try was unsuccessful and Boulder Creek escaped.

16. Salpointe Catholic (1-0)

Last week's ranking: No. 16

Salpointe Catholic was an Open Division team in 2019 but most likely will make the 5A playoffs this season after moving up from 4A. The Lancers are 1-0 following a 29-21 win over Casa Grande two weeks ago. Junior quarterback and Arizona commit Treyson Bourguet completed 7 of 10 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown in the win.

17. Pinnacle (1-1)

Last week's ranking: No. 17

Pinnacle, another Open Division team in 2019, was beaten badly, 64-0, by No. 1 Chandler two weeks ago. Senior defensive lineman Anthony Franklin, a Stanford commit, has eight tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in 2020.

18. Campo Verde (1-1)

Last week's ranking: No. 19

Campo Verde defeated Gilbert 19-0 on Friday. The Coyotes haven’t allowed an opponent to score in double figures this season.

19. Mountain View Mesa (3-0)

Last week's ranking: NR

Mountain View beat Red Mountain 16-13. Reese Marziale and Willy Roberts scored the touchdowns for the Toros.

20. Desert Ridge (1-2)

Last week's ranking: NR

The Jaguars have lost to No. 4 Highland and No. 7 Higley. In the next two weeks, the Jaguars play winnable games against Red Mountain and Basha.

Dropped out: Notre Dame Prep and Red Mountain

Moved in: Mountain View Mesa and Desert Ridge
