Teams across the state will play to fill the 32 district playoff berth in the 3A Washington high school football playoffs this weekend.

Here is a breakdown of each league's allocations approaching Week 9:

3A GREATER ST. HELENS LEAGUE

District berths: three

Breakdown

No seeds have been solidified. Mountain View (5-2, 2-1), Kelso (5-2, 1-1), Prairie (7-1, 2-1) and Evergreen (5-3, 2-1) all playing for spots. Evergreen has clinched a spot. The Plainsmen and Prairie play one another on Friday. Tiebreaker between 1-3 will be determined by head-to-head records, then a coin flip. If it’s three teams playing for two spots, it’s teams will play a Kansas City-style abbreviated playoff.

No. 1 seed: Prairie (7-1) will clinch top seed if it beats Evergreen on Friday, though if the Falcons lose, they could drop out of the postseason altogether. 

No. 2 seed: Kelso (5-2) will be No. 2 if Prairie beats Evergreen on Friday. Evergreen takes second if it wins.

No. 3 seed: Mountain View (5-2, bye) if Prairie loses and Kelso beats Hudson’s Bay. Evergreen will be third if it loses to Prairie. Mountain View takes third if Evergreen beats Prairie.

3A GSHL Week 9 games:

Hudson’s Bay at Kelso, Friday at 7 p.m.

Evergreen at Prairie, Friday at 7 p.m.

Mountain View: week 9 bye

3A SOUTH SOUND CONFERENCE

Breakdown

Gig Harbor (6-2, 4-2), Central Kitsap (4-3, 3-3), Capital (3-5, 3-3) and Timberline (4-4, 3-3) competing for the third and fourth bid.

No. 1 seed: Peninsula (6-2, 6-0)

No. 2 seed: Yelm (5-3, 5-1)

No. 3 seed: Gig Harbor clinches three-seed with a win over Central Kitsap. 

No. 4 seed: Gig Harbor owns the tiebreaker over Capital and Timberline. Timberline has the tiebreaker over Capital.

3A SSC week 9 games

Peninsula (6-0) at Capital (3-3), Thursday at 7 p.m.

Yelm (5-1) at Timberline (3-3), Thursday at 7 p.m.

Central Kitsap (3-3) at Gig Harbor (4-2), Friday at 7 p.m.

3A PIERCE COUNTY LEAGUE

District berths: four

Breakdown

No. 1 seed: Winner of Bethel (6-2, 6-0) at Lincoln (6-2, 6-0). 

No. 2 seed: Loser of Bethel (6-2, 6-0) at Lincoln (6-2, 6-0). 

No. 3 seed: Lakes (5-2, 4-2).

No. 4 seed: Spanaway Lake (3-5, 3-3).

3A KINGCO LEAGUE

Top two play in a week 10 crossover against the 3A Greater Spokane League top-two finishers, Mt. Spokane and Shadle Park. Order to be determined in week nine.

No. 1 seed: Kennewick (7-1, 6-1)

No. 2 seed: Kamiakin (6-2, 5-2)

3A METRO LEAGUE

District berths: seven

Nos. 1-4 solidified. Nos. 5-7 yet to be determined. In contention: Bishop Blanchet, Cleveland, Ingraham, Ballard, Bainbridge, Rainier Beach.

No. 1 seed: O’Dea (8-0, 5-0)

No. 2 seed: Eastside Catholic (7-1, 4-1)

No. 3 seed: Garfield (4-4, 3-2)

No. 4 seed: Seattle Prep (5-3, 2-3)

No. 5 seed: Bishop Blanchet (3-5, 1-4), if it beats Cleveland (5-2, 4-0). Could be Ballard (8-0, 5-0) or Ingraham (6-2, 3-2), which play 5:30 p.m. Friday, depending on other results. 

No. 6 seed: Rainier Beach if it beats Bainbridge on Saturday. Could be Bainbridge if it wins, depending on other results. Could be Ballard or Ingraham, which play 5:30 p.m. Friday, depending on other results. 

No. 7 seed: Cleveland if it beats Bishop Blanchet. Could be Bainbridge if it wins and Cleveland loses. Could be Ballard or Ingraham, which play 5:30 p.m. Friday, pending other results.

3A WESCO LEAGUE

District berths: seven

No. 1 seed: Winner of Marysville-Pilchuck (8-0, 6-0) and Snohomish (5-3, 5-1).

No. 2 seed: Loser of Marysville-Pilchuck (8-0, 6-0) and Snohomish (5-3, 5-1).

No. 3 seed: Winner of Edmonds-Woodway (5-3, 5-1) at Squalicum (6-2, 4-2)
