Abby Ogard scored a golden goal off an indirect free kick in overtime to lift the Bellarmine Prep girls soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Kennedy Catholic in a loser-out district playoff game Thursday night at Federal Way Memorial Field.

With the win Bellarmine (9-6-2) clinched a berth in the WIAA 4A girls soccer state playoffs, which start next week. The Lions will play Enumclaw on Saturday in a district matchup to determine state playoff seeding.

For Kennedy Catholic (14-1-3) it's a heartbreaking end to a terrific season.

Ashley Nguyen gave Kennedy Catholic a 1-0 lead in the first half with a goal in the 35th minute. Bellarmine tied it early in the second half on a goal by Grace Edvalds in the 44th minute.
