Here are some stars from the past week's high school boys basketball games across Iowa.

Brock Badding, Carroll Kuemper

The sophomore star made 8 of 11 shots, including 5 of 8 from 3-point range, to lead Class 2A fifth-ranked Kuemper to a 91-65 win over Creston.

Payton Baker, Alburnett

The senior had 14 points, four rebounds and four assists as the Pirates (11-3) handed Class 1A top-ranked North Linn its first loss, 52-45.

Cade Behrens, Coon Rapids-Bayard

The senior sharpshooter nailed seven 3-pointers and fired in 25 points as the 11-2 Crusaders rolled past Paton-Churdan, 78-24.

Jack Bloom, Alta-Aurelia 

The senior hit 9 of 13 shots, splashing four 3-pointers, and scored 22 points as the Warriors beat East Sac County 63-57. Both teams are now 9-3 for the season.

Sam Boothe, Central Decatur

The senior finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, six steals and a blocked shot in the Cardinals’ 76-42 victory over North Union.

Brady Boulton, Montezuma

The sophomore had a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds as the Braves topped Iowa Valley 69-38. Boulton tacked on seven assists and six steals.

Cam Buffington, Winfield-Mt. Union

The senior and University of Iowa football recruit charted a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds in an 83-33 blowout of Wapello. Abram Edwards also had a double-double for the Class 1A third-ranked Wolves (12-1) with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Braylon Dawes, Panorama

The senior produced 21 points, 10 rebounds and five assists and the Panthers improved to 10-4 with a 67-62 victory over ACGC.

Camden Davis, Hudson

The senior posted a double-double, scoring 17 points and snaring 10 rebounds, as the Class 3A fourth-ranked Pirates stormed past East Marshall 69-28, improving their record to 12-1.

Hunter Hughes, WACO

The senior tossed in a game-high 34 points, leading the 8-3 Warriors to an 82-34 victory over Columbus. Hughes was 13 of 21 from the field, nailing six 3-pointers, and also had six rebounds and three steals.

Easton Jacobson, West Lyon

The junior finished with 16 points, six rebounds and five steals as the Wildcats, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, stayed unbeaten at 13-0 with a 70-29 rout of Sheldon. West Lyon limited the Orabs to single digits in three of the four quarters.

Davis Kern, Linn-Mar

The junior led the Class 4A No. 10 Lions past Iowa City Liberty , 75-56, finishing with 24 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots.

Talan Lafrentz, Denver

Lafrentz popped in 38 points and the junior made it a double-double with 11 rebounds as the Cyclones outscored East Marshall 102-96 in two overtimes. This came one night after Lafrentz scored 24 points against Vinton-Shellsburg.

Trey McKowen, Cedar Rapids Kennedy

The junior and son of Kennedy Coach Jon McKowen scored 17 points, leading the Class 4A top-ranked Cougars to a 57-34 win over No. 3 Dubuque Senior. McKowen hit three 3-pointers and scored 10 points in the second half.

Lance McShane, Maquoketa Valley

The senior had a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds, leading the Wildcats past Starmont, 59-31.

Jack Miller, Jesup

The senior tallied 25 points, seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocked shots for the J-Hawks in a 63-59 triumph over Union.

Cael Reichter, North Fayette Valley

The junior had an impressive double-double with 20 points and 18 rebounds, leading the TigerHawks to a 60-47 win over Oelwein. Reichter also blocked four shots.

Tyke Remster, Saint Ansgar

The senior popped in 26 points, leading the Saints to a 71-30 win over North Butler. Remster was 9-for-15 with four 3-pointers.

Preston Ries, Monticello

The senior and future Iowa Hawkeye football player registered 34 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and three steals for the unbeaten Panthers in an 83-56 victory over Anamosa. Ries made 11 of 19 shots and was 10-for-10 from the free throw line.

Idris Thomas, Davenport West

The senior scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds, helping the Falcons topple Class 4A No. 4 North Scott, 76-74. Thomas is the third-leading scorer in 4A, averaging 22 points per game.

Creighton Tuzzio, Clarinda

The senior made all seven of his shots – including four 3-pointers – en route to a team-high 25 points in the Cardinals’ 63-52 win over Atlantic. Tuzzio was also 8-for-10 from the free throw line.

Reece Vander Zee, Central Lyon

Vander Zee, who will play football at the University of Iowa, had a monster performance with 38 points and 18 rebounds for the defending Class 2A state champion Lions in a 62-58 win over Sheldon.

Drew Wagner, Waterloo Christian

The senior posted a double-double with 27 points and 14 rebounds as the Regents handed a 10-win Dunkerton squad a 61-49 setback. Wagner also had four assists and two steals in a well-rounded performance.

Jonovan Wilkinson, Roland-Story

The senior standout had 20 points, 11 rebounds and five steals for the 10-1 Norsemen in a 76-49 victory over Perry. Tristan Anderson added a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds.

Brayden Wyrick, Central Lee

The junior poured in 34 points for the Hawks, who rang up 90 points against Van Buren County. Wyrick, who hit five 3-pointers, also had 11 rebounds for a double-double.
