Congratulations to Loyd Star junior Aubrey Britt for being voted SBLive’s Mississippi High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week!

Britt scored 12 points to go along with four steals in a 53-20 win over St. Andrew’s, then dropped 25 points to go with three assists and six steals in a 61-46 win over Pisgah.

Britt received75.08% of the vote, beating out Myrtle's Kinsley Gordon who finished with 23.77%. Neshoba Central’s Hama’ya Fielder finished third 0.38% and Clarkdale's Kam Patrick was fourth with0.31%

Here are the other athletes who were nominated for Dec. 14-20:

Kam Patrick, Clarkdale: Patrick poured in a game-high 26 points to lead Clarkdale to a 42-30 win over Richland on Tuesday, Dec. 15.

Tytiana Buckley, Poplarville: Recorded a double-double with 31 points and 10 rebounds to go with two assists and three steals in a 43-32 win over Pearl River Central.

Kinsley Gordon, Myrtle: Turned in a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds in a 62-61 loss to Oxford, then another with 28 points, 10 steals and seven rebounds in a 67-30 win over Coldwater.

Valencia McFall, St. Martin: Put up two double-doubles with 10 points and 10 rebounds in back-to-back wins over Gautier and Greene County and added eight total assists and five steals.

Hama’ya Fielder, Neshoba Central: Fielder scored a game-high 24 points to lead Neshoba to a 59-40 victory over Kosciusko on Friday.
