FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida - Miami Central jumped out to a commanding 35-7 halftime advantage and cruised to a 49-14 victory over Merritt Island on Friday afternoon in the Florida FHSAA 5A state football championship game.
After dropping their first two games of the season, the Rockets posted 12 consecutive victories en route to winning a state championship for the third straight year.
