Ohio high school football playoffs 2023: Division II brackets, matchups, predictions for regional finals

The OHSAA football playoffs continued last week with 112 teams vying for a state title throughout Ohio's seven divisions.

We are now down to 56 teams, with just two teams left in each region and eight teams remaining in each division.

All regional finals will be played on Friday, Nov. 17 at a neutral site with the winners advancing to next week's state semifinals. The state semifinal pairings will be announced following the regional finals.

The seven OHSAA football State championship games will be played in Canton at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium from Nov. 30-Dec. 2. The Division II state championship will be on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7:00 pm.

Division II, Region 5

Regional final matchup and location: 1. Archbishop Hoban vs. 2. Walsh Jesuit at University of Akron InfoCision Stadium

Division II, Region 6

Regional final matchup and location: 1. Avon vs. 3. Medina Highland at Strongsville Pat Catan Stadium

Results from regional semifinals: Avon def. Olmsted Falls 33-23; Highland def. Anthony Wayne 31-10 

Last state semifinal appearance: Avon - 2022; Highland - 2013

Predicted winner:  Avon

Division II, Region 7

Regional final matchup and location: 1. Massillon vs. 3. Green at North Canton Hoover Memorial Stadium

Results from regional semifinals: Massillon def. Lake 35-7; Green def. Canal Winchester 10-0

Last state semifinal appearance: Massillon - 2022; Green - 2021

Predicted winner: Green

Division II, Region 8

Regional final matchup and location: 1. Anderson vs. 3. Withrow at Cincinnati Princeton Jake Sweeney Automotive Stadium
