Ohio high school football playoffs 2023: Division VII brackets, matchups, predictions for regional finals

The OHSAA football playoffs continued last week with 112 teams vying for a state title throughout Ohio's seven divisions.

We are now down to 56 teams, with just two teams left in each region and eight teams remaining in each division.

All regional finals will be played on Friday, Nov. 17 at a neutral site with the winners advancing to next week's state semifinals. The state semifinal pairings will be announced following the regional finals.

The seven OHSAA football State championship games will be played in Canton at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium from Nov. 30-Dec. 2. The Division VII state championship will be on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 10:30 am.

Division VII, Region 25

Regional final matchup and location: 1. Dalton vs. 2. Danville at Dover Crater Stadium

Division VII, Region 26

Regional final matchup and location: 5. Patrick Henry vs. 6. McComb, at Napoleon Buckenmeyer Stadium

Results from regional semifinals: Patrick Henry def. Hopewell-Loudon 26-14; McComb def. Lima Central Catholic 45-13

Last state semifinal appearance: Patrick Henry - 2019; McComb - 2018

Predicted winner: McComb

Division VII, Region 27

Regional final matchup and location: 1. Reedsville Eastern vs. 3. Caldwell at Vincent Warren Warrior Stadium

Results from regional semifinals: Eastern def. River 21-14; Caldwell def. Waterford 20-13 

Last state semifinal appearance: Eastern - never; Caldwell - never 

Predicted winner: Caldwell

Division VII, Region 28

Regional final matchup and location: 1. Marion Local vs. 2. Ansonia at Piqua High School Alexander Stadium

Results from regional semifinals: Marion Local def. Minster 28-7; Ansonia def. St. Henry 20-13 

Last state semifinal appearance: Marion Local - 2022; Ansonia - never

Predicted winner: Marion Local
