State basketball tournament pairings for classes 2A-6A officially set

The complete state tournament schedule for this week

High school basketball teams from classes 2A through 6A now know where each will be for this week's state tournaments.

On Sunday afternoon, the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association officially released the pairings for the 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A state tournaments, which will take place Tuesday through Saturday in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.

Games will primarily take place at Oklahoma City's State Fair Arena and Norman's Lloyd Noble Center on the University of Oklahoma campus. Those venues will host all 10 of Saturday's state title contests.

In addition, there will also be several sub-sites at various points in the tournament. The 6A girls quarterfinals will be at Midwest City Carl Albert, the 5A girls quarterfinals at Norman North and the 5A boys quarterfinals at Noble, while Yukon will host the 3A boys and girls semifinal matchups.

On the opening day of the state tournament, Tuesday, all four Class 4A boys and girls quarterfinals will be held at State Fair Arena. Wednesday, all four 3A boys and girls quarterfinals are at State Fair Arena, and then on Thursday, all four 2A boys and girls quarterfinals will be held there.

The 6A boys will be the only one of the four 5A-6A tournaments that will have all its games at Lloyd Noble Center. Lloyd Noble Center will also host all 5A and 6A state semifinal games on Friday, and all 5A and 6A championship games Saturday.

Also on Saturday, State Fair Arena will be the site of all six championship games in classes 2A through 4A.
