Here are the Oregon high school girls soccer stars of the week for Oct. 17-23 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Carmel Ashland, St. Mary’s (Medford)

The senior, who moved up from center back to play in the midfield, scored the only goal of the match in a 1-0 win over Cascade Christian in a Special District 4 contest at Lithia & Driveway Fields. Ashland also had the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Lost River.

Olivia Boger, North Medford

The sophomore midfielder/forward scored two goals for the Black Tornado in a 2-1 win over Willamette in a Southwest Conference match at Spiegelberg Stadium.

Elise Broberg, Forest Grove

The junior forward, and a team captain, has been the Vikings’ leading scorer this season. She helped the squad get an 8-0 win over Newberg and a 5-1 victory at McMinnville in Pacific Conference matches during the week.

Callie Brandes, Grants Pass

The sophomore midfielder headed in a shot off a corner kick in the 47th minute, giving the Cavers a 1-0 victory at Roseburg in a Southwest Conference contest.

Ella Braunger, Marist Catholic

The sophomore helped the Spartans control the possession game in 8-0 and 7-0 wins last week. Playing in a defensive midfielder role, Braunger leads the teams in tackles and 50/50 balls won.

Cloe Chase, Marist Catholic

The junior, and team co-captain, scored two goals for the Spartans in an 8-0 win over Marshfield. For the season, Chase has 20 goals and eight assists in the 11 games she’s played, and she’s scored in all 11 of those contests.

Abigail Cox, Jesuit

The junior midfielder/forward scored both goals for the Crusaders in their 2-0 win over Beaverton in a Metro League match at Jesuit High School. With the win, Jesuit wrapped up a 6-0 mark in league play.

Jazmine DeLaCruz, The Dalles

The junior midfielder scored two goals and had two assists for the Riverhawks in their 6-0 win at Madras in a Tri-Valley Conference match.

Addison Dye-Blondell, Sheldon

The sophomore goalkeeper had five saves, helping the Irish get a 1-0 win over South Eugene in a Southwest Conference match at South Eugene High School.

Paige Edmonson, Sutherlin

The junior forward had a goal and two assists for the Bulldogs in their 4-2 home win over Brookings-Harbor in a Special District 4 contest.

Brooke Fairbanks, South Medford

The junior forward had a goal and an assist for the Panthers in their 2-1 home win over South Eugene in a Southwest Conference contest.

Sela Freeman, Marist Catholic

The senior, a team captain, scored four goals and had two assists for the Spartans in their 8-0 win over Marshfield in a Sky Em League contest at Marist Catholic. Freeman had four goals and an assist in a 7-0 victory against Cottage Grove. In 14 matches, Freeman has team-leading totals of 27 goals and 12 assists.

Gabi Gilbert, Thurston

The senior goalkeeper, whom coach Benton Canaga calls “a monster in goal, fearless,” has seven shutouts, including a 1-0 victory at North Eugene.

Finley Heslem, Roosevelt

The senior defender, a Gonzaga University commit, returned from injury to play in the Roughriders’ senior night match. She finished the season with five goals and six assists as a defensive player.

Andrea Jaramillo, David Douglas

The junior, who had to step into the center back position because of sickness and injury, provided tough defense against Barlow and Gresham. She also scored a goal in the Scots’ 8-3 victory over the Gophers.

Caile Lader, North Marion

The junior midfielder/forward stepped up for the Huskies, having four goals and two assists in their 8-0 win at Cascade in an Oregon West Conference match.

Katrina Laurenco, Blanchet Catholic

The junior midfielder scored the only goal of the match in a 1-0 win over Western Christian in a Special District 2 playoff contest at Blanchet Catholic.

Paige Meador, Marist Catholic

The senior, and team co-captain, had a goal and an assist in an 8-0 win against Marshfield and a goal and two assists in a 7-0 victory at Cottage Grove. As a defensive player, Meador has four goals and 11 assists this season.

Hannah Nellen, Franklin

The senior defender/midfielder, and a team captain, has been a strong presence throughout the season for the Lightning. According to coach Diana Diaz-Diurych, Nellen played a vital role in keeping the team’s energy and competitive spirit going in a 4-2 win at Roosevelt in a Portland Interscholastic League match.

Nataly Noda, Parkrose

The junior has been a defensive force as well as an offensive threat out of the back line for the Broncos this season.

Piper Paslay, Marist Catholic

The freshman, a starting center back for the Spartans, helped the team get two shutout wins last week. She’s also integral to the team’s defense, which has 10 shutouts and has given up five goals in 14 games.

Kate Ratanaproeska, Grant

The sophomore forward scored two goals and added an assist for the Generals in their 5-0 win over McDaniel in a nonleague match at Delta Park.

Bre Raven, Thurston

The senior, boasting strong speed and endurance, plays full minutes for the Colts, crossing the ball well and shutting down opponents. She very well could have been the team’s MVP in wins over North Eugene and Ashland last week.

Elizabeth Rocha, Valley Catholic

The senior had a hat trick for the Valiants in their 7-0 win over De La Salle North Catholic in a Special District 1 match at Valley Catholic High School.

Kylee Schreck, West Linn

The freshman midfielder scored the only goal of the match in a 1-0 victory over Tualatin in a key Three Rivers League contest at Tualatin High School.

Kennedie Shuler, Barlow

The senior forward/midfielder scored four goals for the Bruins in their 5-1 win over David Douglas in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Sandy High School. Shuler has 18 goals and nine assists this season.

Hannah Smyth, North Eugene

The junior forward scored three goals to help the Highlanders get a 4-1 win over Eagle Point in a Midwestern League match at Eagle Point.

Elizabeth Valdez Vazquez, Woodburn

The junior forward scored two goals for the Bulldogs in their 8-0 win over South Albany in a Mid-Willamette Conference match, giving her nine goals and two assists this season.

Addison Vranes, Crater

The junior, who usually is the Comets’ starting goalkeeper, played forward and scored a goal for the Comets in their 3-0 home victory over Eagle Point in a Midwestern League contest.

Reese Wedding, Redmond

The junior forward scored three goals for the Panthers in their 5-0 win over crosstown rival Ridgeview. Wedding had another goal in a 3-1 victory against Bend.
