The Oregon high school football season is scheduled to begin Thursday, Aug. 31 — 52 days from today. As we count down the days until kickoff, SBLive Oregon will give you one significant number per day.

Season high in points in 2022 for Wilsonville, coming in a Week 5 win over Hood River Valley. The victory followed back-to-back losses by the Class 5A Wildcats, to Tualatin (an OSAA Class 6A finalist the previous season) and Summit of northwest Bend (the eventual 2022 OSAA Class 5A champion).

The two-game losing streak ended by Wilsonville’s 52-point game was the first time the Wildcats lost consecutive games in one season since 2014. They opened that season with a 21-14 loss to Mountain View of northeast Bend and then fell 7-6 at Sandy.
