Ryan Apaliski, Hampton baseball
In a 9-0 win over Ringgold in a first-round game of the WPIAL playoffs, he struck out 17 hitters and took a no-hitter into the final inning.
Katie Armstrong, Burrell softball
In a 5-1 victory over Mohawk in the WPIAL Class 3A quarterfinals, she struck out 16 hitters and allowed just three hits in a complete game win.
Luca Bertolasio, Hickory baseball
In a win over Franklin, he hit a pair of homers and drove in five runs. He finished the day 4-for-5 at the plate.
Michael Cahill, East Allegheny baseball
Threw a complete game shutout and struck out 12 hitters in a 6-0 win over Waynesburg.
Jenna Clontz, Armstrong softball
Drove in all five runs as the River Hawks defeated Thomas Jefferson 5-3 in the WPIAL Class 5A quarterfinals. Three of her runs came on a homer in the third inning that gave Armstrong the lead for good.
Neely Hawn, Shady Side Academy girls lacrosse
In the WPIAL Class 3A quarterfinals, she scored the game-winning goal in double overtime to beat Upper St. Clair 11-10.
Nathan Hugaboom, Honesdale baseball
The senior went 5-for-6 with a pair of doubles and six RBIs as the Hornets defeated Holy Cross 15-3.
Alivia Lantzy, Avonworth softball
In a 10-0 win over Central Valley, she allowed just two hits and struck out nine in five innings while also hitting a pair of homers and driving in four runs.
Rachel Lorson, Jersey Shore softball
In a 13-10 win over Shikellamy on Saturday, the senior had three hits including a double and a homer and drove in four runs.
Mackenzie Moore, Erie Cathedral Prep softball
The freshman went 3-for-3 with a pair of homers and five RBIs when the Ramblers beat Conneaut Area 11-2.
Zach Oliver, Blackhawk baseball
Ended the 5-4 win over Thomas Jefferson in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs by hitting a walk-off two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Owen Ostrowski, Canon-McMillan boys volleyball
Finished the game with 30 kills as the Bic Macs defeated Norwin in four sets in the WPIAL Class 3A quarterfinals.
Tyler Pitzer, South Fayette baseball
In a 7-0 win over Armstrong, he threw 6.2 innings, giving up just three hits and striking out eight. At the plate, he hit a home run in the first inning.
Luke Racop, Union City baseball
The freshman tossed a no-hitter and struck out nine batters in a 6-0 win over Eisenhower.
Lexi Rich, McDowell girls lacrosse
In a 16-6 win over Fairview, she found the net for the 100th time in her high school career.
Ben Ryan, Indiana baseball
Had four hits, including two doubles and a triple, and drove in four runs as Indiana beat Laurel Highlands 12-4.
Brady Rzodkiewicz, Harbor Creek baseball
Allowed just two hits and struck out 11 while not walking a single batter as the Huskies beat Seneca 6-0.
Lindsay Scheffler, Fox Chapel girls lacrosse
In a 12-7 win over Canon-McMillan, she scored four goals, including her 50th tally of the season.
Karen Sickle, Old Forge softball
In a win over Lakeland on Monday, she went the distance and struck out 15 while allowing just a pair of hits. And then on Wednesday in a five-inning win over riverside, she threw a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts.
