North Gwinnett (Georgia) four-star defensive lineman Kayden McDonald is ready to make his college decision.

On Thursday, the 6-foot-3, 310-pound mauler announced a top five of Clemson, Florida, Michigan, Ohio State and Oklahoma and set a commitment date for October 31:

McDonald is a rated a 247Sports composite four-star recruit, the nation's No. 243 overall prospect and the No. 35 defensive line prospect.

The defensive tackle product has visited all five of his finalists, but only taken three official visits - Florida (June 17), Michigan (September 10) and Ohio State (September 24).

He has an official visit scheduled to Oklahoma on October 15.

Whoever lands McDonald will be getting quite a prize.

As a junior, he officially accumulated 95 tackles, 58 tackles-for-loss and 19 sacks, but numbers vary slightly - 4 more tackles-for-loss and one more sack - depending on the source.

So, who is the favorite heading into his final trip?

According to both 247Sports and On3, Clemson is the favorite.

The Tigers 2023 recruiting class is ranked No. 8 nationally and consists of 20 pledges, led by five-star quarterback Christopher Vizzina and five-star defensive lineman Peter Woods.
