Brian Lane, Westside
The Rams overwhelmed reigning 2-A state champion Abbeville 48-13 for their second consecutive win after opening the season with a loss.
Shane Fidler, Airport
Airport beat Lugoff-Elgin 10-7 to improve to 3-1 in Fidler’s first season as head coach. It’s the first time since 2015 that Airport has been 3-1 and represents the program's most wins in a season since 2019.
Jody Jenrette, West Florence
Jenrette decided to stay at West Florence rather than take the Conway job. It looks like he has another strong Knights team. They're 3-1 with three wins in a row after opening the season with a close loss to a powerful Lexington team.
Rob Hanna, Hampton County
The unbeaten Hurricanes beat C.A. Johnson 41-0 to improve to 4-0 for the season. They were 7-5 last season.
Paul Brigman, Richard Winn Academy
The Eagles are winning games in impressive fashion. Their latest triumph was 59-6 over Newberry Academy. Richard Winn could be among the favorites for the SCISA 8-man championship.
Ron Peduzzi, Hilton Head Christian
Peluzzi’s team surprised previously unbeaten Ben Lippen School 31-14 for their first victory of the 2023 season.
Eric Bendig, Philip Simmons
The undefeated Iron Horses are off to a 4-0 start. They ran over Timberland 37-13 for their latest win.
Brian Hennecy, Marion
The Swamp Foxes are positively rolling so far in the 2023 season. They are 4-0 following a 53-0 romp over Hemingway.
Roosevelt Nelson, Crestwood
Beating a city rival in double-overtime is always a big deal. That’s what the Knights did, toppling previously undefeated Sumter 27-21 to improve to 3-1.
Sandy Dukes, Branchville
The undefeated Yellow Jackets swarmed Williston-Elko 63-20. With a 3-0 record, Branchville has already exceeded its win total of two from the 2022 season when the Yellow Jackets were 2-7.
