We have 10 athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s Upper State South Carolina Offensive Football Player of the Week from Oct. 26-27 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week’s nominations:

Luke Gray, Pendleton

Gray ended the regular season with another huge effort, completing 27-of-39 passes for 384 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 54-8 rout of Walhalla. He also had 29 yards rushing on 7 carries.

Landon Fowler, Powdersville

Fowler caught 7 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown in Powdersville’s 33-7 win over Palmetto.

Mathai Scott, Chapman

Scott ran 19 times for 161 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 38-35 win over Broome that clinched the program’s seventh straight region championship. He also caught a pair of passes for 13 yards.

Landon Stone, Clover

The junior tailback ran for 194 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Blue Eagles’ 58-21 win over Rock Hill as Clover won its first region title since 2019.

Trenton Lynch, Spartanburg

Lynch carried 14 times for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Vikings beat Dorman 35-14. The freshman tailback has 582 yards for the season.

Finley Polk, Northwestern

The 6-foot-2, 185-poumd junior quarterback was 16-of-24 for 303 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Trojans’ 52-10 rout of Catawba Ridge. Polk has thrown for 2,374 yards and 27 touchdowns against 6 interceptions in 2023.

Peyton Schrader, Eastside

Schrader was 17-of-20 for 257 yards and 3 touchdowns in Eastside’s 28-14 win over Wade Hampton. The Eagles’ quarterback also had 24 yards rushing on 9 carries.

Marquise Henderson, Belton-Honea Path

Henderson ended the regular season with another huge night by carrying 21 times for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 51-14 win over Wren. The junior standout has 1,785 yards and 29 touchdowns for the season.

DaQuean Lewis, Dixie

Lewis caught 7 passes for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Hornets’ 49-28 win over Calhoun Falls.

Triston Lewis, Greenwood

The sophomore quarterback didn’t have to throw a lot of passes in the Eagles’ 48-14 runaway win over Pickens. But he made them count. Lewis was 5-of-8 for 187 yards and 4 touchdowns.
