Sure, Corey Perry has two hat tricks already this season, but he hasn't done it with quite the style of 10-year-old Owen Thompson.

Slide over, Corey Perry. There’s a new king of the hat trick.

Sure, Perry’s two three-spots already this season are an incredible testament to his supreme skills, but he just didn’t do it with quite the flare 10-year-old Owen Thompson did.

Just last Friday, Thompson, who plays for the Humberview Huskies of the Greater Toronto Hockey League, scored what may be the most incredible trio of goals you’ll see all season:

If you didn’t have the volume turned right up for the video, you might want to fix that and watch it again.

Those were three sweet pings Thompson’s dynamite wrist shots made. To our knowledge, this is the first bar down hat trick that’s been scored in hockey history, and it couldn’t have happened in better fashion. Truly pinpoint accuracy by the young sniper.

Caught on video by a parent from the opposition Rochester Red Wings squad, the hat trick was uploaded and we can all consider ourselves lucky that we get to see such a feat.

Congratulations, Owen, and good job on the celebrations. You earned ‘em.
