ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Wild have reassigned left wing Cody Almond and goalie Anton Khudobin to their AHL affiliate in Houston.

Almond and Khudobin were sent down Monday as the Wild began their two-week Olympic break.

Almond made his NHL debut on Friday. Khudobin won the first two games he played in the net while filling in for injured regulars Niklas Backstrom and Josh Harding.

The Wild sent five players to the Olympics. The rest of them will take time off and gather next week for practice, before the entire team reconvenes in March.

Minnesota beat the Vancouver Canucks 6-2 on Sunday and is 13th in the Western Conference, five points out of the final playoff spot.
