Blackhawks hope to keep rolling in Edmonton

EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Chicago Blackhawks will try to

take home success on the road when they face the Edmonton Oilers

on Tuesday.

Martin Havlat snapped a tie midway through the third period and

the Blackhawks matched their season-best, four-game winning

streak Sunday with a 3-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Patrick Sharp added a power-play tally, defenseman Brent

Seabrook had an empty-netter with 22 seconds left in the third

and Cristobal Huet finished with 31 saves for Chicago, which is

5-0-1 this December.

Blue-liner Duncan Keith had two assists for the Blackhawks, who

won their fourth straight at the United Center and extended

their stellar home record to 10-1-4 overall. Chicago, however,

will play its next three contests on the road in Canada.

The first stop is in Edmonton, which is coming off Saturday's

3-0 triumph over the Vancouver Canucks. Dwayne Roloson made 23

saves en route to his first shutout in two seasons and 23rd


Dustin Penner, Ales Hemsky and Robert Nilsson scored for the

Oilers, who have won five of their last seven games.

After Edmonton, the Blackhawks will visit the Calgary Flames and

Canucks on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
