Blackhawks recall goaltender Lalime following four-game conditioning stint

Publish date:

Lalime, 32, went 3-1-0 with a 2.49 goals-against average and .930 save percentage for Norfolk. The St. Bonaventure, Que., had off-season surgery to repair a herniated disk in his back and hasn't played a game for Chicago.

Lalime is 171-130-32 with a 2.49 goals-against average in 353 career games with Pittsburgh, Ottawa and St. Louis. He's expected to battle Brian Boucher for the backup role behind starter Nikolai Khabibulin.

To replace Lalime, the Blackhawks reassigned goaltender Mike Brodeur to Norfolk from the ECHL's Toledo Storm.
