Blues acquire Hensick from Avalanche in swap of minor league forwards

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues acquired forward T.J. Hensick from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for forward Julian Talbot on Thursday.

The 24-year-old Hensick had a goal and two assists in seven games for Colorado last season. He recorded 70 points (20-50) in 58 games for Lake Erie of the AHL.

In 2008-09, he had four goals and 17 assists in 61 games for Colorado.

The 25-year-old Talbot had 32 points (17-15) in 76 games for AHL Peoria. He has played the last three seasons with the club.
