Brown scores go-ahead goal, MacIntyre stops 33 as Moose down Griffins 2-1

WINNIPEG - Mike Brown scored the game-winner at 9:44 of the third period as the Manitoba Moose edged the Grand Rapids Griffins 2-1 in American Hockey League action Thursday night.

Moose (9-5-1-0) blue-liner Zack FitzGerald tied the game up in the second after Griffins forward Randall Gelech staked Grand Rapids (5-8-0-1) to a 1-0 lead at 2:22 in the first frame. It was Brown's second goal of the year.

Manitoba's Drew MacIntyre was solid in net, stopping 33 of 34 shots to earn the win, while Griffins goalie Jimmy Howard suffers the loss with a 20-save performance.
