Bruins look to bounce back against Blues

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Bruins have one last chance in the

first half of the season to make the most of their home-ice


Coming off a deflating setback, the Bruins host the St. Louis

Blues in their final game at the TD Banknorth Garden before the

All-Star break.

On Saturday, Boston saw its four-game winning streak halted with

a 2-1 loss to the Washington Capitals. The Bruins had won seven

in a row away from home and failed to tie the franchise mark for

most consecutive road victories.

But before visiting Toronto on Wednesday, Boston has a chance to

get back to its winning ways and improve on its 17-3-1 record at


St. Louis, meanwhile, has struggled on the defensive end lately,

yielding 53 goals in its last 14 losses.

Despite turning in a stellar effort, the Blues fell to the

Chicago Blackhawks, 2-1, on Saturday. They have scored just

once goal in each of their last four losses.

In that contest, All-Star center Keith Tkachuk missed his second

straight game because of a head injury suffered during Tuesday's

3-1 setback to the Calgary Flames.
