Canucks' Sami Salo 'game-time' decision for Game 3 against Predators
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Vancouver associate coach Rick Bowness says defenceman Sami Salo is a "game-time decision" for Game 3 against the Nashville Predators.
Salo was among the last Canucks off the ice after an optional skate Tuesday morning, hours before Game 3 of the series. Salo suffered an undisclosed injury in Game 6 of the Canucks' opening series against Chicago.
The 36-year-old defenceman missed the first four and a half months of the season recovering from a torn Achilles tendon, but was Vancouver's best all around defenceman the year before. He had one goal and was minus-2 the first five games of the playoffs.
The Canucks, winners of the President's Trophy for the league's best regular season record, are tied at 1-1 in their Western Conference semifinal against Nashville.
