Canucks sign free-agent centre Shannon and re-sign minor-league goalie

Shannon, 24, had 11 points (2-9) in 53 games with the Anaheim Ducks last season while also adding nine points (2-7) in 14 games for AHL Portland. He appeared in 11 playoff games with the Stanley Cup champion Ducks, recording no points and six penalty minutes.

Shannon was named to the AHL All-Rookie Team in 2006 after registering 86 points (27-59) in 71 games with Portland.

MacIntyre, 24, went 24-12-2 with the AHL's Manitoba Moose last season with a 2.17 goal-against average and .922 save percentage.
