EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Vancouver Canucks complete

their longest road trip of the season on Saturday, visiting the

Northwest Division-rival Edmonton Oilers.

Over the first six stops, the Canucks have posted a 2-3-1

record. Vancouver has had to undergo this grueling stretch

without captain Roberto Luongo, one of the elite goaltenders in

the NHL.

Luongo may have suffered a slight setback as he attempts to

bounce back from an adductor strain in his groin.

According to a published report, Luongo left practice Wednesday

after only 20 minutes. The team did not note the specific

reason for his departure.

"Roberto has been on his own schedule since the injury," Canucks

coach Alain Vigneault told the Vancouver Sun. "He warms up, he

practices, he takes what he can take, and when he feels he's had

enough, he comes off. It was no different (Wednesday).

"The timeline remains week-to-week. I can't invent an answer

for you. We originally said week-to-week. Some groins are

quicker than others. That's all I can say."

The Canucks, who are 4-4-1 in the two-time All-Star's absence,

will play four straight games and seven of their next eight at

home.

The Oilers had a three-game winning streak snapped with

Thursday's 2-0 setback to the Florida Panthers.
