Carolina recalls Jensen, adds Brind'Amour to injured reserve

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Carolina Hurricanes put captain Rod Brind'Amour on the injured reserve Monday and recalled centre Joe Jensen from their American Hockey League affiliate in Albany.

Brind'Amour tore a ligament in his left knee Thursday in Carolina's game against Pittsburgh. Doctors say he'll likely will miss most of the season.

The Hurricanes acquired the 24-year-old Jensen on Jan. 31 from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
