Chicago Blackhawks and goalie Cristobal Huet agree to four-year deal
CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks signed goaltender Cristobal Huet to a US$22.5-million, four-year contract Tuesday.
He was dealt by the Montreal Canadiens to the Washington Capitals at the NHL trade deadline last season.
In 183 career NHL games, Huet is 83-61-24 with a 2.43 goals-against average, .918 save percentage and 17 shutouts. Huet went 32-14-6 with the Habs and Capitals last season.
The 32-year-old netminder will get $5.625 million a season with the Blackhawks.
