Chris Stewart's hat trick gives Monsters 5-3 win over Marlies

CLEVELAND - Chris Stewart registered a hat trick and added a assist to help the Lake Erie Monsters earn a 5-3 win over the Toronto Marlies in AHL action Saturday.

T.J. Hensick and Ray Macias also found the net for the Monsters, with Matt Hussey chipping in with two assists.

Alex Foster, Jay Harrison and Robbie Earl each scored for Toronto, who dropped to 11-1-0-2, their first loss in regulation time this season.

Goalie Jason Bacashihua took the win for Lake Erie with a 35-save performance, while Justin Pogge stopped 25 of 30 shots.

Lake Erie moves to 4-8-0-2 with the win.
