Colorado Avalanche sign forward Scott Parker to one-year deal

DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche signed Scott Parker to a one-year deal and Marty Sertich to a multi-year contract on Tuesday.

The team also acquired forward Matt Hendricks from the Boston Bruins for defenceman Johnny Boychuk. Parker played in 25 games last season, finishing third on the Avalanche with 70 penalty minutes. Sertich was acquired from the Dallas Stars on June 10.

The 27-year-old Hendricks spent last season with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League, scoring 22 goals in 67 games.
