DETROIT - Colorado captain Adam Foote is back in the Avalanche lineup after missing eight games following a concussion.

The veteran defenceman has returned for Saturday night's game against the Detroit Red Wings. He hadn't played since leaving a game against San Jose on Oct. 21.

Foote was one of four Avalanche players listed as having head injuries. Kyle Cumiskey, Peter Mueller and Kyle Quincey have all missed time, and none are in the lineup against Detroit.
