When Rob Schremp was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in 2004 I was really excited to see him succeed. Unfortunately, he never seemed to be able to get a permanent position with the Oilers, but received a second chance with the Islanders.

When Rob finally scored his first NHL goal last Saturday against the Bruins you could see the relief in his and his teammates’ celebration.

Congratulations kid, I hope to see you on the Islanders roster for some time to come.
