NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Pavel Datsyuk will try to

extend his points streak to six games Friday when the Detroit

Red Wings meet the Nashville Predators.

Datsyuk has recorded five goals and 12 points over his five-game

points streak. He scored two goals and set up another during

Tuesday's 4-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues.

The 30-year-old Datsyuk, who won the Selke Trophy as the

league's top defensive forward last season, has 13 goals and a

team-leading 37 points this season.

The Russian center has been particularly impressive during the

Red Wings' three-game winning streak, collecting nine points

over that stretch.

Ty Conklin has been in the crease for all three of those wins,

filling in for Chris Osgood, who is sidelined with a groin

injury.

Before the Predators can think about defeating the defending

Stanley Cup champions, they will need to snap their 113-minute,

12-second scoring drought.

Nashville is coming off a 3-0 loss to the Florida Panthers on

Tuesday.
