David Desharnais' three-point night propels Bulldogs over Americans 5-3

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - David Desharnais had a goal and two assists Friday as the Hamilton Bulldogs beat the Rochester Americans 5-3 in American Hockey League play.

Mathieu Carle, Alexander Avtsin and Ben Maxwell each added a goal and an assist for Hamilton (10-3-3), while Olivier Fortier also scored.

Curtis Sanford made 22 saves to pick up the win.

Paul Baier, Bill Thomas and Kenndal McArdle replied for Rochester (8-9-1). Jacob Markstrom stopped 24 shots for the Americans.
