Disappointed in Mats

Publish date:

I am having a lot of difficulty dealing with the Mats Sundin situation.

As a life-long Toronto Maple Leafs fan I cannot help but feel frustrated and betrayed by Mats. He refused to be traded at the deadline last season because he wanted to remain a Leaf. Why doesn't he feel the same way now?

I realize he wants to win, but why wouldn't he accept a trade last year? He could have made the team he loves so much better going forward. Mats could have signed anywhere he wanted for this season anyway.

If he truly loved the Toronto organization he would have helped them out by going elsewhere for some prospects.
