Ducks goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere leaves team to be with family

Giguere's son Maxime Olivier has what the Ducks described as "a non-life-threatening medical condition."

He's expected to rejoin the team Monday.

"J.S. and his wife Kristen are dealing with an issue of much greater importance than hockey games," Ducks GM Brian Burke said in a statement. "Our entire organization supports them during this difficult time and asks that their privacy be respected."
