Edmonton Oilers send Raffi Torres to Columbus for Gilbert Brule

EDMONTON - The shakeup continues in Edmonton.

The Oilers have traded winger Raffi Torres to the Columbus Blue Jackets for centre Gilbert Brule.

Torres has been with the Oilers since 2004 but was limited to just 32 games last season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a game in December.

Brule was drafted sixth overall by Columbus in 2005 but has yet to develop into a consistent NHL player.

He had one goal and nine points in 61 games last season.

The move comes just two days after Edmonton acquired defenceman Lubomir Visnovsky from Los Angeles in exchange for forward Jarret Stoll and defenceman Matt Greene.
