Is it hard to focus in Toronto with all the media attention?

- Jen Psutka. Kitchener, Ont.

It makes it interesting and a little more exciting because everyday there’s something new to talk about and new challenges.

You use a noticeably short stick, which obviously helps your stickhandling. Are there any drawbacks?

- Casey Ippolito, Toronto

It has a lot of drawbacks. It’s harder to shoot. It’s actually harder to do almost anything with it except stickhandling in tight and around the net where it’s a lot better. I’ve thought a lot about going to a longer stick, but haven’t found one that I liked.

Who has helped you the most in Toronto so far?

- Chris Sanzone, Jr., Rochester, NY

Tie Domi was very helpful to me; he kind of took me under his wing. He taught me how to interact with the media and the day-to-day business in the NHL.

Do you have specific moves/dekes for situations? Otherwise, how do you come up with them in the blink of an eye?

- Steven Auld, Niagara Falls, Ont.

There’s only so many moves that you can do, but I always try to get the puck to my forehand to get it up over the goalie. I don’t really plan ahead.

What was your first thought when you became a Maple Leaf?

- Evan Rutland, Brampton, Ont.

I was really excited to play in front of the sellout crowds here in Toronto. I love playing for the fans.

What was your favorite part of playing for the Belleville Bulls?

- Zack Brown, Belleville, Ont.

I liked the small town atmosphere. It was a close-knit family and reminded me of the town I grew up in.
