Flyers go for fifth straight win

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia Flyers look to keep

rolling when they host the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.

Philadelphia has won four straight games and is 11-1-2 in its

last 14 contests after Saturday's 6-3 triumph against


Mike Knuble scored twice and defenseman Kimmo Timonen handed out

four assists for the Flyers, who are second in the Eastern

Conference in scoring at 3.41 goals per game.

Colorado is coming off a 3-2 victory over Detroit on Monday,

snapping an eight-game losing streak against the Red Wings.

Defenseman Jordan Leopold scored on a penalty shot and added an

assist and Andrew Raycroft made 34 saves in the win. It was

Raycroft's first start since November 29.

The Avalanche defeated the Flyers, 5-2, on October 16 and have

won the last five meetings. Philadelphia last beat Colorado on

December 27, 2002 with a 2-1 overtime victory.
