Flyers will wear special edition jerseys for Winter Classic

The Hockey News has obtained artwork of the special edition jerseys the Philadelphia Flyers will wear when they take on the Boston Bruins at Fenway Park on Jan. 1, 2010.

According to Chuck Gormley of the Cherry Hill Courier Post, the Flyers will officially reveal the design Friday at 1:45 p.m. EST when Daniel Briere, Ian Laperriere and Braydon Coburn will break a block of ice with a puck to unveil the team’s newest sweater.

It's unknown whether the team will wear the jerseys only once, during the Winter Classic, or throughout the 2009-10 campaign.
