BOSTON - Phil Kessel has been cleared to rejoin Boston after missing six games with a case of mononucleosis, giving the Bruins another key offensive player back on the ice.

Bruins coach Claude Julien said Kessel would be available for Thursday night's game against the New Jersey Devils. Kessel is Boston's leading scorer with 24 goals this season.

Forwards Patrice Bergeron and Milan Lucic returned to the ice Tuesday for the Eastern Conference-leading Bruins' 3-2 overtime win over Washington.

Bergeron had missed 15 games due to a concussion and Lucic sat out seven games with an undisclosed injury.
