Forwards Tim Brent and Mirko Murovic added to Canada's Spengler Cup roster

Publish date:

Brent, 22, plays for Portland of the American Hockey League while the 25-year-old Murovic is a member of Lugano of the Swiss League.

"It's unfortunate that Dale and Serge won't be able to play in the Spengler Cup, which is a tournament all of our players are looking forward to," said Johnny Misley, Hockey Canada's executive vice-president. "But we're also happy that Tim and Mirko could join the team on such short notice."

Canada opens play Tuesday against the Swedish team Mora.
