Jana Head of the CWHL’s Brampton Thunder might not be a household name, but she caused a stir in her team’s game against the Boston Blades the other night.

Head dipsies and doodles several times before finding the bottom corner of the net in what some are calling a goal-of-the-year candidate in the women’s league.

The play, while remarkable, also brings to mind an old line about ultra-talented Alexei Kovalev. One of his former coaches marveled at how the skilled Russian got around four guys on one play. The kicker? It was the same two guys twice.

In any event, it doesn't detract from this "wow" moment in the CWHL.
