MONTREAL - Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara was back and Montreal Canadiens winger Andrei Kostitsyn was working with his usual linemates during game-day skates Monday ahead of Game 3 of their NHL playoff series.
Boston coach Claude Julien said it was ''looking good'' for Chara to return but would not confirm he will be in the lineup Monday night. The six-foot-nine defenceman missed Game 2 on Saturday with what the team said was a case of dehydration. Chara did not speak to the media.
''It's better, you saw him,'' said Julien. ''It's looking good but I can't say he's a definite in.''
Kostitsyn, who missed Game 2 with a foot injury, was skating on the right wing with centre Tomas Plekanec and Michael Cammalleri.
Montreal coach Jacques Martin said he would make game-time decisions on Kostitsyn and forward Jeff Halpern, who hasn't suited up since late in the regular season. Halpern has been skating with the team for a week.
Kostitsyn was injured when while blocking a Chara shot in Game 1.
Montreal won the first two games of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final series in Boston.
