GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Jaroslav Halak stopped 22 shots to lead the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 1-0 win over the Grand Rapids Griffins in AHL action Monday.

Halak faced just 11 shots over the first two periods, then survived a spirited third period to lead the Bulldogs (11-14-1-5) to victory. Janne Lahti had the lone goal of the game at 6:35 of the third period, redirecting a Daniel Corso pass inside the left post behind Griffins netminder Jimmy Howard.

Howard stopped 32 shots for Grand Rapids (14-17-2-3), which had registered at least one point in nine of its previous 11 home games.

The teams meet again Friday in Hamilton.
