Hossa, Red Wings seeking fourth straight win

DETROIT (Ticker) -- Marian Hossa is one of the few Detroit Red

Wings to not be on the last season's Stanley Cup championship

team. The 29-year-old Czech is intent on getting them back


Hossa and the Red Wings will go for their fourth consecutive

victory Wednesday when they host the Calgary Flames.

Detroit's prize offseason acquisition, Hossa netted the tying

goal midway through the third period in Saturday's 5-4 shootout

victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.

After watching the Red Wings hoist the Stanley Cup last season

as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Hossa leads Detroit this

campaign with 15 goals and 29 points.

The Flames have won five of their last seven contests but are

coming off a 4-1 setback to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.

Dustin Boyd scored the team's lone goal.

In their only previous meeting, Jiri Hudler, Pavel Datsyuk and

Marian Hossa scored in the last nine minutes of the contest to
