New York Islanders right winger Kyle Okposo will be out indefinitely with a right shoulder injury that will require surgery.

Okposo, who was drafted seventh overall in 2006, posted a career high 19 goals and 52 points in 80 games last season. Overall, the St. Paul, Minn., native has 39 goals and 96 points in 154 NHL games over parts of three seasons.
